Colin joined Dron & Dickson in 1990 as a storesperson/driver. He joined the Board in 1997 and was promoted to Managing Director in 2002 bringing a strong leader to the company. In 2007 he bought the company. He won the EY Entrepreneur of the Year (Scotland) 2012. Colin is member of YPO since 2010 and a strong follower of football and rugby.

Lenny is a mechanical engineer and a former Rolls Royce apprentice. He worked at Rolls Royce for almost 20 years covering roles in quality assurance, operations management and HSE. He began his time at Dron & Dickson as a HSEQ manager and then moved to Applus to be their Head of HSEQ. He was later made HSEQ Director for Applus and returned to Dron & Dickson in 2019 as Strategy & People Director. In October 2023, he was appointed as Group Managing Director.

Tom joined Dron & Dickson in 2005, starting in the Wholesale division, before progressing to Business Development Manager, to Sales & Marketing Director to Engineering Services Director. During his time, Tom has been at the forefront of developing the company’s product and service offerings, from LED lighting through to specialist aviation and navigational aid turnkey services. Tom is an avid fisherman and keen football supporter.

Bruce’s career began at William Wilson, an industrial and domestic electrical wholesaler in 1990. In his 15 years at WW, Bruce progressed from Store person, trade counter assistant, and internal sales before becoming a Branch Manager at 23. He joined Dron & Dickson as a Business Development Manager, moving into a Sales Manager role then Operations Manager all within the Wholesale division. Bruce was appointed Operations Director for Dron & Dickson in 2018 responsible for Wholesale and Engineering Services to Wholesale Director in 2020 due to strategic change.

John Strang

John has been Group Finance Director of Dron & Dickson since March 2019. John has held leadership positions in the energy industry over the previous 10 years and prior to that he spent 17 years with KPMG in a number of roles, predominantly M&A and advisory related. John enjoys travelling, and most sports particularly football, tennis and golf.

Doug has been a Dron & Dickson Non-Executive Director since 2014. He previously held CEO title for Sparrows and Stork along with a regional Vice President for Whetherford. Doug has worked worldwide from Australia through to Latin America and provides a wealth of knowledge to the company from his previous work. In his spare time Doug enjoys playing golf and following football.

June is a highly experienced Non-Executive Director, Chair, Business Strategist and Board Advisor. Her journey with Dron and Dickson began in 2005, when as the Area Director for Bank of Scotland her team were instrumental in providing the funding for Colin Rowley’s buy out of the company. She remained close to the business until being approached to become a NED in late 2018. June brings a wealth of knowledge and sound governance from the many companies she has been involved with and is recognised for delivering improved financial performance and resilience to organisations. Her focus on Business and Leadership development is always evident. June loves nothing better spending time with family and friends while enjoying a glass of Fizz!
